About the Trust: Shree Mahavir Education Trust was established in 2006, with an objective of providing professional education. In 2012 the trusteeship was taken over by the promoters of Ratnamani Metals & Tubes Limited (RMTL) that hold a Leadership position in the Stainless Steel Pipe & Tubes Industry in India. This is the outcome of one of the philanthropic pursuits of Shri Prakashbhai Sanghvi, the leading business personality who inspires aspiring entrepreneurs all over the country.

RMTL is driven by its core value of contributing to the communities it belong to and also by its vision of being a good “Corporate Citizen”.Drawing a parallel to RMTL’s business success the Shree Mahavir Education Trust is in its pursuit to excellence in the field of education in the lush green campus on the outskirts of Becharaji. The trust has a privilege of having distinguished people with diverse background as its trustees and many of them are associated with the Pharmaceutical Industry.

About Institution

Ratnamani College of Pharmacy, formerly known as Shree Krishna Institute of Pharmacy was established in year 2007. The college has been managed by Shree Mahavir education trust & supported by Ratnamani Metal and Tubes Ltd. The institute was established with the objective to provide affordable and higher education to students of rural area. The college is situated in the holy place of godess Maa Bahuchar. The institute offers B.Pharm, M.Pharm (Pharmaceutical Technology) and M.Pharm(Quality Assurance) courses. The college is furnished with impressive and aesthetical infrastructure. The environment of college campus is peaceful and green. The institute is well equipped with all equipments and instruments as per regulatory norms. The college is approved by AICTE, PCI and affiliated to Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad.

About Pharmacy Education

Pharmacists represent the third largest group of healthcare professionals in the world. Pharmacy education in India traditionally has been industry and product oriented. In contrast to the situation in developed nations, graduate pharmacists prefer placements in the pharmaceutical industry. A variety of pharmacy degree programs are offered in India: Diploma in Pharmacy( D.Pharm), Bachelor of Pharmacy(B Pharm), Master of Pharmacy(M Pharm), Doctor of Pharmacy( Pharm D) and Doctor of Philosophy(Ph D).

The B. Pharm involves 4 years of study in colleges affiliated with universities or in a university department. Students holding a BPharm degree can earn an MPharm degree in 2 years, of which the second year is devoted to research leading to a dissertation in any pharmaceutical discipline, for instance pharmaceutics, pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis or pharmacognosy.

Pharmacy education in India is regulated by 2 organizations: the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), under the Pharmacy Act of 1948, and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The AICTE is also responsible for quality assurance of pharmacy programs through accreditation by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) constituted by the AICTE.

He is second generation promoter with enthusiastic interest in pharmaceutical industry. 75% attendance for both theory and practical’s is mandatory for attending the final exams.
How can I assure about students safety/ security?
The students are not allowed to enter the campus without I-card, there is only one gate entry. The campus is under CCTV surveillance.
